Group Meal Support

Join Courtenay Vickers RD for a virtual group meal support session! Meal support means you bring your own food and we eat together on camera, in a supported, pro-recovery space.

Meal support is different from nutrition counselling - during a meal support session you will be eating a meal or snack together online, in a guided supportive environment. This is a great way to practice eating with others, build confidence, try a challenge food, and more. Only available for ages 17+ and residents in ON, NB, NS and the Territories in Canada.

🍽️ What to bring

Bring your own prepared meal that is appropriate for where you are at on your recovery journey (no visible branded diet products please). Not sure what to bring? I find the Plate-by-Plate Approach on Instagram has some excellent examples of meals and snacks for recovery, without using numbers or measuring tools. If you’re really feeling unsure, that may be a sign that individual nutrition counselling is a better fit for you right now.

🫶 What to expect

The first 5 minutes will be a brief welcome and grounding activity, followed by 30 minutes of supported eating, and the last 20 minutes will be more supportive conversation/distractions, before a final wrap up and check out! Courtenay will be your lead facilitator and has many years of experience guiding virtual meal support for eating disorder recovery.
